ALTRES is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We want to provide a safe, secure user experience. We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to us remains private and is used only for the purposes as set forth herein.

We are committed to the Fair Information Practices by clearly posting our policies for the way we handle your personal information so that you can make an informed decision when choosing to register for our services via the web.

In that regard, our purpose in collecting, storing, and using personal information about you (your personally identifiable information “PII”) is to assist you with your job search via our Website.

Please read the following Privacy Policy and, after you have read it, either grant or deny your consent to our collection, storage and use of your personally identifiable information.

Privacy Policy for ALTRES Websites

This statement discloses some of the privacy practices for the ALTRES Websites. ALTRES has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our practices for gathering, storing, and using your personally identifiable information on this Website.

In order to allow our employees (and clients) to have access to your personally identifiable information, and to facilitate placing you as a job candidate, the data which you provide to us may be sent to ALTRES employees and clients.

If you have any questions about this privacy statement or practices on this Website, please contact ALTRES.

1. Frequently Asked Questions About Privacy

Does ALTRES ask for personally identifiable information about me?

Yes, we do. ALTRES may ask for your name, email address and other personal vitae or resume information, such as work experience and previously acquired skills, when you sign up for our services. We may also ask for such personally identifiable information at other times, such as when you request information from ALTRES (i.e. newsletters, feedback forms, etc.).

Our Website’s registration form requires you to give us contact information (name, address, phone number and email address, for example). We use your contact information from the registration form to send you information via email about our company and job postings that fit your profile. You may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the Choice/Opt-Out section below.

During your visit to ALTRES, we may also ask you for other information, such as information on your interests, your preferences regarding the Website, the types of jobs you are interested in, etc., in an effort to deliver to you the best possible site experience.

Will ALTRES disclose any of my personally identifiable information?

ALTRES may disclose your PII as described below, or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect ALTRES’ rights or property. Otherwise we will not disclose it. ALTRES may match the PII of its Website users with third party data. Also, ALTRES does disclose aggregated user statistics (e.g., 45% of our users are female) in order to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes. If/when we do match user information, we endeavor to keep personally identifiable information confidential from those third parties. ALTRES has no responsibility or liability for the acts of these independent third parties.

Only ALTRES employees have first-line access to your personally identifiable information and they are fully aware of the ALTRES privacy procedures. All your personal data is password protected and limited to secure users. Your PII and other resume information is not re-sold in any manner. This information can be, however, shared with a third party at ALTRES’ sole discretion if you are responding to a job posting.

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include hosting our web servers, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance and providing customer service. Their access to your PII is only as necessary to perform their functions, and they may not share that information with any third party.

How does ALTRES use personally identifiable information?

ALTRES’ goal in collecting your PII is to provide you, the Web-user and jobseeker, with the most personalized Web experience possible. By knowing more about you, ALTRES is able to deliver more relevant content and hence a better service to you. We reserve the right to release information to local, state, or federal law enforcement officials when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or when required to do so by order of a Court or authorized administrative agency.

What is the MyJobAccount and Dream Job Candidate feature?

To utilize certain features on our Site, jobseekers must establish a MyJobAccount. In doing so, you will gain the efficiency of not having to fill in forms repeatedly if applying to multiple job listings. Once a MyJobAccount is established you may also register for our Dream Job Personal Search Agent (PSA) service that allows Website visitors like you to create a job search profile. The profile acts as an intelligent agent to identify those jobs in our database that match your dream job criteria. When an ALTRES job becomes available that matches your request, our system will notify you of the job. These notifications travel over the Internet through non-secure networks.

Is there a minimum age requirement to use the ALTRES Website?

We do not accept enrollment for job placement from persons under the age of eighteen. The Website will automatically block enrollment from any person once they indicate they are under the age of eighteen. If we later learn that a user is under the age of eighteen, we will terminate the account and delete the user?s information.

Is the information I provide for the Send to Friend emails stored?

ALTRES never stores the email address of either the sender or the recipient of the Send to Friend email.

How does ALTRES handle my resume?

Since ALTRES is a career site, we give you the option of putting your resume in our database. There are two ways of doing this:

1. You can build a resume using the ALTRES resume builder. You will be asked for PII and the program will guide you through various questions about your objectives, skills, education and experience.
2. You may attach your resume as a Word document, Adobe Acrobat pdf, or html.

We use our best efforts to grant access to this database only to paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals. You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time. However, employers and recruiters who have paid for access to the database, and other parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while resumes are in the database.

What happens to any Feedback responses?

ALTRES has an area on the Website where you can submit feedback. Any feedback that is submitted through this area becomes the property of ALTRES. We may use this feedback, such as success stories, for marketing purposes, or to contact you for further feedback on the Website.

Does ALTRES use log files?

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Does ALTRES use Cookies?

To enhance your experience at ALTRES, we use a feature on your Internet browser called a “cookie.” Cookies are small files that your Web browser places on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies for remembering user names and passwords and preferences, tracking click streams, and for load balancing. Because of our use of cookies, we can deliver faster service, consistent, updated results, and a more personalized site experience. You have the option of setting your browser to reject cookies. However, doing this will hinder performance and negatively impact your experience on our Website.

Where is my personally identifiable information stored?

Although we house our data in the United States, it is possible that some of our data processing may occur outside of the United States. While the data protection laws of these countries may vary, we will make every reasonable effort to protect your information based upon the express terms of this Privacy Policy. By registering your PII with ALTRES, you consent to this transfer of data.

Will this Privacy Policy be amended, if so how will I be notified?

ALTRES reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy. If at any point we decide to use PII in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy under which the information was collected.

2. Choice/Opt-Out

Our Website provides you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request PII about you.

Each email notification also tells you how to opt-out. The database is automatically updated when you opt-out.

In addition, this Website gives you the options to Delete/Deactivate or Change/Modify information for your MyJobAccount.

You may access and change your own PII at any time by going to the MyJobAccount page, inputting your user name and password in the supplied fields and selecting “Edit MyJob Account.”
